Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, the Senior Mine Accountant will assist by providing financial and management accounting support and leadership for the Prominent Hill Operations team.
This role prepares, reports and analyses monthly financial information for the Prominent Hill operations for decision-making and ensures compliance with Accounting Standards, Income Tax legislation and FBT legislation.
The incumbent therefore must possess and display initiative, judgement and a degree of independence in identifying problems, researching solutions and taking appropriate action to develop capabilities, systems and performance within the finance team.
To be successful in this role, you must be tertiary qualified in accounting, commerce or a related discipline. Experience in the mining industry will be highly regarded.
