Reporting to the Mining Superintendent, the Drill and Blast Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all technical aspects of the drilling and blasting operations are carried out in a safe and cost effective manner.
To be successful in this role you must be tertiary qualified in a mining related discipline and have the following experience:
Drill and blast design with mining design packages
managing contractors across a range of functions within one site, and practical experience with Mine Planning and Mine Operations Systems in terms of their development and deployment.
